Collaborate with vendors, anonymously poll your bridal party, collect online RSVPS, stay on top of payments and more with the innovative smartphone app Ring Leader
Since 2016, Brides of Long Island founder Heather Cunningham has dedicated her professional life to demystifying the wedding planning process. And for almost a decade, she has done just that - through a Facebook group which boasts over 21,000 members, a robust BOLI Preferred Vendor program which connects top-rated wedding professionals to local brides, and the popular “Brides of Long Island Podcast” which addresses both common and lesser-discussed wedding topics with a sense of humor and community.
Now, she’s taking things a step further.
After almost a year of research and development, Heather is ready to bring wedding planning into the 21st century with Ring Leader - a multi-platform program that bridges the gap between brides and the wedding professionals they hire.
“Anyone who has ever planned a wedding knows that there are a million things to keep track of, in a million different places,” Heather explained. “You have spreadsheets, notebooks, Pinterest boards, and text threads. And then every vendor you hire has their own way of doing things. So you have emailed receipts, paper contracts, PDFs of timelines, and you’re trying to keep everything organized while also trying to enjoy your engagement. It’s needlessly complicated and stressful.”
During a home renovation project where she saw teams of contractors converse and confirm details in one place, Heather was inspired to bring the same efficiency and tech-forward approach to the wedding industry. “We’ve been stuck in the past for way too long,” she said. “Ring Leader will streamline the entire wedding planning process for brides and vendors alike. It’s really going to change how we do things from here on out.”

Ring Leader for brides: a comprehensive smartphone app
For brides, Ring Leader functions as a smartphone app that covers every aspect of wedding planning - from researching, booking, and collaborating with a dream team of vendors, to storing important documents and inspo, to anonymously polling bridal party members for honest opinions, to setting reminders for important appointments and due dates, to an innovative way of organizing your guest list: online RSVPs.
“You won’t have to go back and forth between your florist and your venue trying to figure out a delivery time, you’ll be able to communicate within the app,” Heather described. “You won’t have to have Google Drive folders or notebooks to store contacts and receipts, they will be stored within the app. You won’t have a bridesmaid that pulls out of a bachelorette she can’t afford, the app allows you to gauge what’s possible for your bridal party while they stay anonymous. Literally anything that has to do with your wedding will be in the ‘Ring Leader’ app.”
Ring Leader for wedding pros: an all-encompassing software program
It’s safe to say that most wedding vendors were inspired to enter the industry because they love working with couples in love - not because they love spending hours sorting through documents and chasing after past-due payments. Thanks to Ring Leader’s powerful software, wedding professionals can drastically simplify their day-to-day workload by storing all client data, schedules, legal and financial documents, and individual protocols within one program.
“Nearly all of the vendors I know get bogged down with paperwork, especially during the busy season,” Heather commented. “If you have a dedicated team to handle all of those things that’s great, but most vendors don’t. They’re trying to book new clients, work with existing clients, advertise, and manage all their contracts and agreements. Ring Leader will allow vendors to do all of the above in one place, quickly and efficiently. Wedding pros can focus on the aspects of the business they enjoy without worrying about all of the time-consuming details, as well as using lead generation software to support them.”
